First batch of soil sample shipped for lab analysis
< 16 March 2023 We are pleased to share the good news that the first batch of soil samples has been shipped for analysis at the laboratory of the Agricultural Research Council in Pretoria, South Africa. These are samples from Nigeria, from where more samples are being shipped soon. It is a milestone for the project and start of the soil analysis activity, which has been long awaiting.
Wet chemistry and spectroscopy measurements will be conducted on the samples, and results fed into the Soil Information System that is being built by ISRIC - World Soil Information, Wageningen, Netherlands.
